Testing
What are the commonly used single battery testing methods?
1. Resistor divider method
Detecting batteries is also a common method to judge the quality of a single battery, among which the resistance voltage division method is one of the commonly used detection methods. In the detection process, the actual voltage is first attenuated to the range that the measurement chip can bear by means of the resistance part of the voltage, and then analog-to-digital conversion is performed on it. It is necessary to note that the test method of local voltage resistance will have a certain error with the increase of the number of single cells.
2. Floating measurement
Floating measurement is also an effective single-cell detection method at present. When measuring the battery terminal voltage, the window comparator will automatically judge the current low potential. At a suitably low potential, the analog-to-digital conversion will start and measure directly. When the low potential is too high or too low, the low potential is floated controlled by a mathematical model through the microcontroller.
3. Method of simulating switch
If the analog switch method is to be used to test a single cell, the channel to be measured is usually selected first. Then the output of the analog switch is sent to the ADC through the voltage follower for conversion testing. In general, the analog switching method can select an appropriate amplification factor according to the total voltage of the series connected cells.
In addition to the above three commonly used battery detection methods, various other advanced methods can also detect single batteries in practical applications.
